Primary responsibility for the set-up, maintenance and storage of complex tooling used to produce air-cushioning components. This includes assuring tooling is in safe working condition and that it is production ready according to production specifications dictated by Engineering. Understands assembly of matched tool sets and conducts evaluations on components using a variety of lab equipment. Assist Engineers in the commercialization process of new tooling as well as modifications to existing tooling.464497
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/ GED
MINIMUM WORK
Experience:
Cad and/or SolidWorks experience
3 years manufacturing Tool & Die work experience.
MINIMUM SKILLS:
Technical skill base enhanced by working directly with Engineers on projects. Problem solving skills
Tooling Technician &/or Tool and Die Shop experience.
In depth work on Prototype and Production tooling design and assembly.
Ability to use Personal Computer, basic hand tools, Maintenance shop equipment including a Lathe, Drill Press, Belt sander, Soldering tools, Grinder, Vernier calipers, steel rule die bending equipment and others that could be needed to perform tooling maintenance duties.
Must be able to operate hydraulic lifts and tables, fork truck driving a plus.
Good oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Strong background in Steel Rule cutting Die fabrication and Some Machining experience is a plus, (mill, lathe, etc.).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
