The DD ensures that all development activities are consistent with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
The DD is also responsible for all capital fundraising as it relates to The Ranch property and dwellings.
The DD will engage with the organization's focus on equity; ensuring equity lens is applied to decision making, public communication, and internal organizational structures.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
The DD is accountable for all revenue goals and is responsible for consistently monitoring progress and adjusting work plans to achieve goals.
The DD is responsible for the successful identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individuals and corporations with significant capacity to give.
The DD works with the Executive Director and Board of Directors and is the liaison to the Development and Marketing Committees to ensure the organization has the resources it needs to accomplish strategic objectives.
Lead long- and short-term Development department planning, including strategic planning, budgeting, and revenue projections.
Research, design/develop, implement and sustain traditional and creative fundraising strategies and programs to advance the organization's profile in the community and maximize resource development efforts.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the development and marketing ensuring goals are met and development efforts are continuously improving to increase revenue and productivity.
Ensure all deadlines are met for event planning and project management.
Actively participate as a member of the senior leadership team in leading the organization; participate in strategic planning and budgeting, and making, implementing, and upholding decisions or policies related to the operations of the organization.
INDIVIDUAL GIVING Develop, implement and sustain the organization's major gifts programs, including the development and execution of strategies to ensure the effective and timely cultivation and solicitation of major donors and prospects.
Coordinate with Operations Director to identify, evaluate and provide research on individuals to use in advancing prospective major gift donor relationships.
Develop and implement year-round pipelines and cultivation plans for individual donors and corporate contacts.
Ensure sufficient depth for revenue generation and excellent customer relationships.
Oversee all direct mail campaigns.
Provide leadership for key messaging in alignment with other organizational messaging, and mailing lists are developed strategically.
Lead board stewardship program; create systems to ensure board members follow up with prospects and engage new supporters for Friends of the Children.
Work effectively with board and committee members to develop fundraising and marketing strategies and implementation plans.
Write donor acknowledgements and proposals as needed.
CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS & SPECIAL EVENTS Identify corporate funding sources; develop and implement a robust corporate cultivation and solicitation program that sustains current donors and expands to reach new ones, including senior business leaders.
Serve as the lead for event planning, revenue generation, management, production and sponsorship:
Create and manage the timeline, program and task list for all special events Lead all event planning and production meetings and discussions.
Organize and lead collaboration between the Event and Marketing committees on event concept, graphic design/production/printing, and event marketing.
Negotiate costs and services with vendors; book event space, arrange food and beverage, order all supplies/decorations, coordinate audiovisual equipment & operation, make travel arrangements.
Coordinate with Operations Director to secure volunteers; manage the staff and volunteers working at the event.
Work with venue to create/revise room layouts/seating arrangements for each event as necessary.
Create event sponsorship packages and lead the solicitation and securing of sponsorships.
Organize and manage the invitation, registration and attendee check-in processes.
Manage the follow-up with vendors, sponsors and staff members following each event.
CAPITAL FUNDRAISING Work closely with the Executive Director to devise and implement a multifaceted capital campaign that will raise funds to pay construction and maintenance costs.
Establish the campaign's solicitation priorities, manage prospect lists, prospect research, and prospect tracking.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to provide campaign collateral and communications, specifically materials for solicitation including print, web and social media platforms.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
