Hybrid work is optional once fully trained.
Call, email, or check on-line with insurance companies to confirm patient insurance eligibility, benefits coverage, and pre-authorization requirements.
Review denials of payment for no or incomplete authorization and request retro authorization.
Track status of all pending authorizations with each insurer on a regular basis.
Tally weekly authorizations worked.
Skills:
Ability to learn and understand medical insurance processing, and requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with health insurance carriers a plus Experience with MS Office Suite and ability to learn new applications Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment within stated guidelines.
Demonstrate professional demeanor and recognize privacy needs for patients and families Ability to work as part of a team as well as a productive individual contributor Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
