All things data entry - we have lots of information to capture, client information, donor data (they love our veterans, almost as must as we do), and all things COVO.
The right person for this job must also love Excel and be pretty tech-savvy.
Data integrity and handling of confidential data is a big responsibility in this role.
Utilizing multiple databases to ensure timely and accurate data input.
Verify data and update existing data.
Conduct research and analytical activities involving gathering of background material and data in support of projects.
Communication, communication, communication - Clear, accurate and inclusive verbal, written, electronic communication with diverse populations including community partners and donors is essential.
Create clear accurate documents, letters and other correspondence.
Teamwork - It takes everyone to make this organization work, and it's everyone's responsibility to help when and where needed.
Assist human resources with new employee onboarding, as directed by the Executive Officer.
Step in as front desk coverage, as needed.
Provide administrative support to the Executive team and Board of Directors.
Planning is key- COVO is a small but mighty team that serves a diverse community.
This position plays a key role in supporting our Executive Team to achieve our mission.
Completing special projects and meeting timelines is imperative.
Community- Collaborate with Executive Officer on fundraising, networking and community events to ensure clear communication and execution with staff and volunteers.
Recommend and develop ongoing volunteer utilization.
Collaborate with the Executive Officer to create social media content including posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter; Ad creation, Page campaigns, Blog posts, and sharing.
Here are some skills a successful Administrative and Operational Support Specialist will have:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite software; including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher & Outlook.
Strong communication skills and willingness to provide a welcoming presence.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, including occasionally de-escalating stressful situations.
Ability to assist and communicate with others non-judgmentally and interact appropriately with the public in stressful situations.
Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
Ability to communicate promptly, honestly, effectively & transparently.
Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions that are timely and in the organization's best interest.
Professional or personal experience working with disadvantaged/at-risk populations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
