Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the office - Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the office scheduling system - Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department - Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing - Collect patient payments and provide receipts - Maintain patient records and update information as necessary - Assist with maintaining a clean and organized front desk area - Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to ensure efficient patient flow Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dental or medical receptionist preferred - Proficiency in using office systems and software, - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus - Familiarity with phone systems and handling high call volumes Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
