Summary:
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing outreach activities to raise awareness about anti-human trafficking efforts, coordinate community and fundraising events, and engage with various stakeholders.
This role involves organizing events, managing the events calendar, organizing direct outreach campaigns to vulnerable populations, producing outreach materials, and maintaining a strong online and offline presence through social media and tabling events.
Duties:
- Coordinate and organize community awareness, fundraising, and direct outreach events:
Work closely with community partners to plan and organize events that support anti-human trafficking initiatives.
Coordinate fundraising activities to support the organization's mission and help build community awareness of human trafficking and build name recognition of the program.
Support direct service staff with organizing outreach events that target and identify vulnerable populations and potential victims of human trafficking.
- Manage social media accounts:
Manage and update social media accounts to maintain a consistent brand and engaging online presence.
Create content that educates and informs the community about human trafficking issues and create online content to reach vulnerable populations.
Collaborate with local media to amplify the organization's message.
- Coordinate Community Fundraisers:
Actively contribute to fundraising efforts by seeking sponsorships, donations, and grants.
Develop and implement strategies to increase financial support for the organization.
- Develop Partnerships with Community Agencies:
Establish and nurture partnerships with community agencies and other stakeholders.
Collaborate on joint initiatives to strengthen the collective response to human trafficking.
- Manage Events Calendar:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate community awareness events and fundraising events related to anti-human trafficking efforts.
Maintain an organized events calendar to ensure timely execution and effective coordination.
- Produce a Quarterly Newsletter:
Create and distribute a quarterly newsletter to update stakeholders on the organization's activities, achievements, and upcoming events.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant content for the newsletter.
- Organize and Attend Tabling and Outreach Events:
Represent the organization at tabling events and direct outreach events to engage with the community and vulnerable populations to distribute outreach materials and information about the program.
- Produce Outreach Materials:
Develop and create culturally responsive and survivor informed outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, and presentations.
Ensure the materials effectively convey the organization's mission and goals and are easily accessible to potential victims of trafficking.
- Participate in Outreach Events:
Attend and actively participate in outreach events organized by the organization or its partners.
Collaborate with team members to enhance outreach strategies.
- Update and develop outreach strategies based on best practices:
Analyze community assessments, narratives and studies to ensure all program materials, social media, and events follow best practices.
Coordinate with the Survivor Advisory Council to review all materials.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize and execute events effectively.
Experience in social media management and content creation.
Some knowledge of issues related to human trafficking and community outreach and/or a willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong ability to remain motivated and productive without continuous supervision.
Experience and Training:
Persons with lived experience with human trafficking are encouraged to apply.
Disclosure to the public is not required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination, community outreach, or related roles.
Experience in fundraising and partnership development is preferred.
Some knowledge of anti-human trafficking efforts preferred.
Bilingual and bicultural applicants are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties for the job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
The employee occasionally is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Comfortable with travel around the Central Oregon region.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
