Job Description
Summary: The HR generalist assists in managing the day to day operations of the HR department. S/he will play integral role in the HRIS system, compliance, and benefits administration. S/he will ensure all personnel records are maintain timely and are in compliance with all labor laws and internal policies.

The HR Generalist shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides coverage for the HR office- meet & greet public, answer phones, filing, etc.
Responsible for processing all incoming paperwork
Issues associate ID cards and helps communicate IGNITE program
Leads benefits administration
Assists with associate recognition events
Partners with Payroll to ensure all associate are paid timely and in compliance with local and federal wage & hour laws
Responsible for Discount Programs & IGNITE
Prepares all new hire paperwork packets
Responds to all reference check inquires
Responds to Unemployment Benefits inquires
Assists in the disciplinary action of associates
Monitors training attendance through the resort with files and HRIS records
Assists in the seasonal recruitment process- posting positions, pre-screens, reference checks, etc.
Processes incoming paperwork through HRIS
Supplies associates with needed YTD earning reports
Performs internal self-audits
Prepares supplies for New Associate Orientation
Ensures the proper stocking levels of office supplies and orders as needed
Completes all necessary pre-hire checks immediately upon hire, notifies managers of results
Responsible for the proper filing , documentation, and retention all employment documents for current and terminated associates
Monitors minor break logs
Responsible for Affirmative Action books
Maintains meal wavier documentation for Food & Beverage associates
Supports and advocates for a team environment in HR and around the resort
Provides support for HR office duties, such as annual climate survey, wage analysis survey, associate events and processing new hire paperwork
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
Required Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
High School diploma required, advanced degree preferred
Prior office administration experience required
At least two years of human resource experience required
Prior HR generalist experience preferred
Familiarity with BOLI, EEOC and FLSA regulations preferred
Prior benefits administration strongly preferred
Prior hospitality experience preferred

Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have strong verbal, written, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
Must be highly professional in appearance and demeanor
Ability to work with high level of autonomy
Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
Ability to maintain strong levels of business, especially in highly confidential and sensitive interactions
Must have strong computer knowledge, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet, and comfort with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems.
Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
Must have excellent phone skills
Must be detail orientated with a high level of accuracy
Must consistently maintain a positive/professional attitude while interacting with community members, applicants and resort associates
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings or weekends
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Primarily a seated job, but can sit or stand as needed with intermittent periods of walking, rarely needing to stand for periods up to an hour.
Must be able to occasionally lift carry, push & pull up to 25 lbs with assistance;
Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, with occasional squeezing & overhead reaching.
Visual abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
