SCMG - Manager of Provider Relations

Overview:
The Manager of Provider Relations will be responsible for executing SCMG provider human resource management for all primary care, specialty care and hospital-based practices as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.
Duties include provider performance management and improvement systems, organizational departmental and service line planning, involvement within provider recruiting and staffing, organization development, employment and compliance to regulatory concerns regarding employees, provider onboarding, provider development, provider and service line needs assessment, provider training, provider mentorship program, policy development and documentation, employee relations, provider wellness program development and management, participate within compensation development, benefits administration, championing provider and patient safety campaigns, and company, employee, and community, communication. This position may supervise assigned Caregiver(s).
Responsibilities:
(May perform additional duties of similar complexity within SCMG as required or assigned)
Coach, counsel, and provide caregiver relations advice and direction to providers ensuring compliance with health system policy, and labor/employment laws and regulations
Research accusations of harassment, discrimination, or other illegal actions. Document fact-finding, develop and help facilitate a corrective action plan if needed, provide recommendations to leadership, and ensure closure of issue.
Maintain awareness of current employment law and recommend policy and/or practice changes to comply with federal and state laws and regulations
Provide education sessions to leaders and/or providers on employment law, labor law, SCHS policies, or related topics
Works directly with the Chief Medical Officer of SCMG to develop and maintain a performance management program. Works directly with provider leaders to ensure completion of performance management assessments and reviews
Refer significant team development or conflict issues to the SCMG Executive Team
Collaborate with other SCHS Human Resources teams (recruitment, compensation, benefits, education, and organizational development) to ensure two-way communication and awareness of issues
Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with the Director of Provider Services, the Director of Primary Care and Population Health, and/or the Director of Specialty Services in order to understand the individual service lines and business units, their recruitment needs; develop and maintain strong rapport with key leaders in the department; become knowledgeable of the hiring service line manager's business objectives, goals, operations and culture
Influence strategic staffing decisions such as succession planning, training and career development
Work collaboratively with the Director of Provider Services to proactively and aggressively recruit for well qualified candidates from a variety of sources. Instruct the SCMG leadership team in the utilization of behavioral based interviewing techniques to select candidates
Support the provider and caregive onboarding process and mentorship program
Provide consultation on a variety of human resource issues and work closely with all areas of Human Resources Department to facilitate effective HR relationships within SCMG. Advise potential candidates, applicants and hiring managers regarding employment benefits
Facilitate the off-boarding protocol and conduct thorough exit interviews specifically seeking improvement feedback.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, other relevant field preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: PHR or SPHR certification preferred. Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to meet SCHS driving requirements.
Personal Protective Equipment: Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
Experience: Minimum three years experience as an HR generalist with an emphasis on employee relations required. Experience working in a dynamic, diverse and fast paced environment preferred. Working knowledge of all HR functional areas with an emphasis on EEOC laws and requirements, federal and state employment laws, immigration requirements and ADA required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
