FAMILY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (TITLE 5)

Organizational Structure:
This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters (State), Manpower and Personnel Directorate (J-1), Support Programs Division. The purpose of the position is to provide support in the administration of Family Program services for the National Guard and Reserve members and their families within the state by performing assignments designed to provide familiarity with the Family Program, community services, effective relations with supporting social service and emergency organizations, and the development of human resources program referral networks. As a FAMILY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (TITLE 5), GS-0303-7, you will perform duties such as:
Serves as an assistant in accomplishing all objectives of the Family Program. Assists in designing and conducting needs assessments of family members to identify program requirements. Prepares information papers and other documents affecting recruiting, retention, and readiness. Coordinates and facilitates communications between family members and the National Guard. Develops and maintains a library of resource documents to include community, state, and Federal government agencies and organizations, which are available for referrals to family members. Conducts briefings and training. Coordinates the volunteer service component to include formal training and recruiting of volunteers. Identifies key volunteers and develops and conducts orientation and training programs for these volunteers. Conducts workshops and seminars . Assists with the state family youth program, which addresses issues and concerns of youth related to Guard life and youth readiness and well being. Coordinates with local youth related organizations and agencies. Collects and organizes volunteer, family, and other related data. Implements and maintains a computer entry system for ease of retrieval and dissemination. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:

U.S. Citizens SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. To qualify for this position, you must have:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in duties that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
