The Primary Care Physician has responsibility for providing primary care to a defined panel of primary care patients. The incumbent practices as an independent provider and may be assigned to any of the outpatient clinics within the catchment area of the VAPORHCS to provide primary care to their panel of patients. The Primary Care Staff Physician works on the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) comprised of Nurse Care Manager, an LPN or medical assistant and an Administrative Assistant, Social Worker, Pharmacist, Dietitian, and behavioral Health Clinician to provide care and support to the veteran population. Also contributes to the quality of care, efficiency, process improvement and customer satisfaction. Expected to practice professionally, core values and commitment.to service excellence. United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Board eligible or Board certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. Physical Requirements:
Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meetings and training rooms, or libraries. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The environment can be stressful when dealing with patient and employee concerns, and strict deadlines on a variety of tasks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
