Physician-Primary Care

Duties include but are not limited to:
Providing primary care to a defined panel of primary care patients Practicing as an independent provider utilizing direct face-to face visits, telephone visits, and veteran video connect visits (VVC) Providing direct patient care full time Working as a member of a patient aligned care team (PACT) Collaborating with the expanded healthcare team including a social worker, dietician, clinical pharmacist, and behavioral health clinician Work Schedule:

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. If selected for this position you must meet specific individual eligibility requirement and submit your application within four months of appointment. The final award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/06/2020. Basic Requirements:
United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education:
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Licensure and Registration:
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Residency Training:
Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. English Proficiency:

Experience:
Must be board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and must meet VA professional and physical standards for employment. Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. Physical Requirements:
The work is mostly sedentary and requires some standing, bending and carrying light items. The incumbent must have the ability to sit or stand in front of a computer for long periods. The incumbent must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time to interact with patients and with other services.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
